The presentation describes an online professional development course for Faculty of the Institute of Education. For participants, the course addresses rationale, key points of relevant literature, criteria for culturally responsive assessment, assessment modes that have potential to be culturally fair. The course then offers the opportunity for participants to design culturally responsive assessment in their own disciplines, based on the criteria and the proposed potential modes of assessment. Finally, participants are asked to reflect on their own learning in the course.
