Learning analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of data about learners and their contexts, for purposes of understanding and optimising learning and the environments in which it occurs. Moodle has the option to provide detailed analysis of a students interaction with Moodle. This case study presentation will outline analytics tracking that we conducted on two courses. In both cases the study examines physical attendance, online activity reports (Moodle), continuous assessments and summative examination performance. This presentation will also reveal a reporting plugin for Moodle that we developed to as part of this project
