The term lifelogging refers to the process that records personal data generated from everyday life activities. The advent of smartphones with the ability for both data capture and display has meant that individuals can now capture detailed lifelogs, that record life activities in as much detail as desired. In this paper, we introduce three case studies of data visualization that highlight different aspects and issues of the visualization process for personal lifelogs. We discuss how to support access and knowledge discovery. Our goal is to create visualization tools to support user access to lifelogs. Copyright 2013 ACM.
