This instrument facilitates characterisation and isolation of individual cells with defined characteristics using high-throughput, multiplex analysis. Information regarding cell cycle / ploidy, proliferation, apoptosis, multicolour immunophenotyping (membrane, cytoplasmic and nuclear), flow-fluorescent in-situ hybridisation, autophagy, functional calcium flux analysis, rare population (stem-cell) identification, protein phosphorylation, genetically engineered reporter molecule expression and protein secretion may be performed using this highly sensitive method. Once cells with required characteristics have been identified they may be further isolated using the instrument’s sorting facility to provide live cell clones. These individual cells may be utilised for a wide range of applications including biopharmaceutical, stem cell, cancer and haematological analysis.

Benchtop Flow Cytometer

The Guava® easyCyte 5HT Flow Cytometer offers absolute cell counts and five parameters (3 fluorescent colors, 2 light scatter), from an industry standard blue laser. Common assays include: immunophenotyping, cell signaling, cell health and compound screening. Its built-in 96-well autosampler enables reliable plate and tube sampling. The system runs FlowCellect & Guava Kits, plus user-defined reagents, using InCyte Software for data acquisition & analysis.
